The current lockdown has changed the way legal services are delivered, and these changes have created new vulnerabilites that cyber-criminals and fraudsters are seeking to exploit, as highlighted by the Home Secretary's report that cases of fraud and scams have increased significantly since lockdown.

In response, the Law Society has published information and guidance to help law firms and sole practitioners secure their systems and avoid becoming victims of fraud.
